The Consortium - Don't Be Afraid To Fight This War...

The Consortium finishes the Patriot Acts Trilogy...

In Part One we saw an evil plot between Iran and right-wing radical American Nazis to destroy the nation. In Part II, the plausible scenario of a biological terror attack ruthlessly is hatched by enemies of the state. In Part III of the Patriot Acts series the world banking and global power brokers are explored.

In September, 2008, The Fed and the treasury came to President George W. Bush and issued him a suicide threat. Secretary Henry Paulson walked into the Oval Office and put a gun to his own head and said, $800 Billion or in 24 hours we die and 5 trillion dollars would disappear with the entire world economy. President Bush said yes. What if he had said NO?

Chapter Fifteen

The White House,

Washington, D.C.

March 11, 2012 3:42 p.m.

“I am placing the nation under emergency powers effective upon my signing of this document. The authority of the Emergency Powers Act will not be enforced until tonight, but the temporary powers of the moment do immediately grant the president the power to appoint anyone to vital vacant seats in the Executive Branch. Technically, the speaker has not officially recalled Congress back from recess. I love that word recess; it suits them perfectly.” Fisher chuckled.

Michelle handed Fisher the document and he placed his signature in the appropriate place. Then, Michelle gave President Harrison a second document. Fisher read it out loud.

“By the powers under the State of National Emergency act of 1977, the president has the power to appoint any vital vacant seat and it shall not be automatically removed when and if emergency rule is lifted, and only shall the president’s appointments be removed by resignation, end of life issues or impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors, as prescribed by law and the Constitution of the United States of America.

“Therefore, I hereby appoint Hamilton W. Smith to be Vice President of the United States.” Fisher signed the appointment letter and looked at Hamilton. Fisher thought he looked excited and terrified at the same time.

“Hamilton Smith, would you raise your right hand?” Fisher asked.

Hamilton raised his hand and slightly pulled it down two times before Fisher recited the words and Hamilton repeated them. Secret Service came to the door and Fisher, Michelle and Vice President Hamilton Smith all walked out of the Oval Office and headed to two different escorted cars which would depart for two different escorted places.

Hamilton’s destination was in hiding in an undisclosed location, while Fisher’s destination was for the whole world to see. Fisher leaned over to speak to Hamilton as they walked down the White House hallway.

“Hamilton, way back in time, at Iron Mountain prison in Alaska, you remember.” They stood in front of two different limousines and Fisher took his new vice president’s hand and congratulated him. “Well, Hamilton, I just wanted to take back some words from way back when I said in a moment of foolish jesting. Because you’re not just a Smith; you are Vice President Smith.”

“Approach, I need assistance. This is Captain Ray Jerrod; the coordinates you have sent us do not work. You are taking us into the wall of the mountain.” Jerrod pulled and banked left. Jerrod was a good pilot, and he knew this was not an error. Such errors don’t just happen.

A mountain wall appeared before the pilot and he heaved the yoke back all the way. He feared a stall as he had aimed the nose almost straight upward. Margaret and Nate were strapped in, but both had passed out from forces that neither this plane nor human bodies were built to withstand.

“Control, this is GB1 taking evasive action maneuvers and …”

“We’re gonna make it.” The pilot screamed out and straightened out the airplane. “Get back there and check on them.” The navigator specialist got out of his seat and opened the cockpit door. He saw the First lady slumped over and her baby had started crying.

He quickly walked over and called out her name. “Mrs. Harrison … Mrs. Harrison, are you alright?” Margaret’s eyelids began to move and her eyes blinked and finally, she moaned and cried out,

“Where’s my baby?”

Roger, GB1.” The control officer passed his microphone to a tall man with wavy hair in a nicely knitted suit. “He’s all yours Mr. Berkowitz.”

“Well, Peter, so you are a man of character, whatever that means, but I like you. You’re the other side of me.”

“You lie; I am nothing like you. I breathe air not money and power.” Peter suddenly shouted into Berkowitz’s ear piece, making him wince a bit.

"Well, it lives. I thought you had found Jesus or something and were on your way to paradise. Very well, here goes nothing.”

Berkowitz took a card from his pocket and swiped it and his screen came up. He logged onto the same channel that Peter Barlowe used to control his forces. Then he punched in his personal code and a signal was instantly sent to the pilot of the GB1. As the code streamed it found the command to find the micro-circuit lying dormant in the back of the scalp of one Captain Ray Jerrod, the pilot who was now trying to fly the First Lady and her son to safety. The subject was found and it instantly sent the command to obey Berkowitz’s command. It also registered inside the data crunching computers of Homeland Security, the Pentagon, the NSA and the CIA.

Pilot Captain Ray Jerrod felt Berkowitz’s commands overtake him slowly. He thought it was air sickness then it was like an instantaneous bout of the stomach flu and then just before he was sure he was going to die, he went calm and felt fine. It was the strangest feeling he had ever had.

“It’s OK honey, we’re OK now,” Margaret told her baby, which she knew was a lie.

“Mrs. Harrison, I want to stay here with you and help, but I have to assist the pilot. Are you OK?”

“Thank you; my son is OK, so I’ll be fine.” Margaret had the greatest urge to scream out for her husband and only let it resonate in her head. Fisher, where are you? Fisher, I love you.

Berkowitz spoke to the pilot. “Captain, you are a true patriot, full of everything our money could buy, and that’s a hell of a lot. The problem is, I am not, and I don’t need to be. These are your orders.”

En route to Joint Session of Congress

Washington, D.C.

March 11, 2012 4:05 p.m.

President Fisher Harrison rode in his limousine for the just over a two mile ride between 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW and 100 Constitution Ave NE. He looked out the windows and the two most prominent things he saw were throngs of people with great distress stretched across their faces waving and shouting out well wishes to their a president they trusted. He also saw throngs of soldiers as far as the eye could see. They were all there in battle fatigues and seemingly ready to fight a war or to start one. Of course they all think I ordered them out here.

Fisher saw one man in particular holding up a large sign with the map of the United States prominently displayed with drops of blood dripping down. It read, ‘Is America’s Democracy Bleeding?’Another sign showed a flag shaped into the United States with all the colors running into each other. The words across it read, ‘Why are these colors running?’

They all spoke to him and he knew these fine people loved him, but not as much as they simply needed him, and it gave Fisher great fear and trembling to imagine three hundred million Americans thrown to the dictatorial rule of whatever political charade the Consortium would raise up to hide behind.

Fisher’s motorcade continued on and stress seemed to form all over Fisher’s body, and he felt a trembling inside his arms, hands and legs. He knew it was all far too big for his feeble arms to carry. Fisher waved and didn’t know if the people outside could see him or not, but he caught a glimpse of an old man in a Air Force uniform and holding a sign that was plain and simple, but which bore words that were just like a ray of light in a dark and frozen world to Fisher Harrison. He had needed to read its message before taking on a great nemesis such as the Consortium.

“Driver, I want you to stop the car for a moment. Do you see the big plain sign behind us?”

“Yes, sir, but that against protocol.”

"I realize that, but I need you to ask him, not tell him, but ask him if the president could see him for just a moment.”

The driver radioed to one of the cars behind the president’s to talk with the man. A moment later, a Secret Service agent was standing by the president’s door with the older gentleman. Fisher lowered the window and looked at the sign that told him how to proceed. It gave him hope and told him God had heard his pleas. Fisher read the words. He had heard President Tate use them before. Then Fisher spoke them out loud. “Don’t be afraid to fight this war.”

Fisher looked up at the man standing by Fisher’s window and the old man saw that the president had tears in his eyes. His face had taken on a deep shade of red due to the adrenaline woven together with sorrow.

“Please forgive me for accosting you this way, but your sign touched me so much and it is a direct answer to me from God through you. We need direction, my brother.”

“Mr. President, the honor and privilege is all mine. Would you like to have it, sir? The sign I mean.”

”That’s really generous of you, but it is of much greater value right where you are. Right now, you just might be more powerful than I am, in this awful situation; and isn’t that the way it’s truly supposed to be?”

“Here, let me sign it and that means I will follow your advice, my friend.” Fisher said and placed his signature on the poster.

“I will never forget this day, Mr. President.”

“Please don’t, and remember how your simple message gave a president great resolve. What a truth and stress reliever to know someone is bigger than our feeble abilities to control the deeds and intents of evil men and women.”

Fisher put his arm out the window and shook the elderly man’s hand. “I wish I could get out and thank you appropriately, but these guys might kill me trying to protect me. I will do my best to preserve that you have worked so hard to have and to pass on to your children. Thank you for letting God employ you, sir. ‘Don’t be afraid to fight this war.’ I really love that. Pray for America.”

President Fisher Harrison had no idea how his resolve would soon be placed under maximum danger.

The Navigator Specialist reentered the cockpit and strapped himself in for what he knew would be a rough landing.

“Ray, did they radio you?”

“Yes, they did.”

“And … what’d they tell you?” The navigator looked out ahead and saw the well hidden runway. “Great, Captain, you did it.”

Captain Ray Jarrod looked over at his Navigation Specialist and pulled out his side arm.

Jarrod said the words exactly as he had been instructed. “Anyone ever tell you that you talk too much?”

The navigator laughed “Yea Captain …” He looked at the pilot and saw his friend and comrade, Captain Jarrod’s sidearm staring back at him. “Yea I have been told that a few times. What are you doing, Captain?”

“Well, they’ll never tell you that again.” Captain Ray Jarrod squeezed the trigger and unloaded three shots into the navigator’s head. Then, his next orders flashed through his mind.

He switched on the intercom and spoke to the First lady. “Mrs. Harrison, we have the runway in sight...”

Obama's White House is Falling Down

I recall Barack Obama’s words immediately after signing the stimulus bill that will live in perpetuity and more than impoverish our grandchildren’s generation. After signing away our children’s heritage, he declared, “It’s done.” In reality, President Barack Obama was giving a heralding message to his hidden group of minions who make up his shadow government that all the funding for his own personal dismantling of the United States of America was now there and that they should engage and spread their evil ideals throughout the entire inner-workings of the federal government. Since that day, Obama has wreaked havoc upon the nation; spending trillions, with no end in sight. Yet, the American people are beginning to realize what they unleashed last November when they elected the nation’s first radically socialist President of the United States.

Even now, specific steps are being taken. They are not out in the open, but not exactly hidden either. The powers that be know that we love our country but they also understand that few there are who are willing to contribute life and limb to just forget about thriving and be mollified and pacified with the offer of mediocrity.

The irrefutable evidence reveals that a very large segment of this nation has believed the lie. It is the supreme perception that all of a sudden, I'm not strong enough or of sufficient intellectual prowess to simply take care of myself. There is no indignity in trying hard to make a dollar when you know it is really yours, and not taken out of the pocket of one and used to fill my belly while theirs perhaps remained unfilled!

There are those in society who do have need of their nation's largess. There is nothing greater than helping a mother to feed her children, getting an man or woman off of a hateful drug and into the workforce. I can think of no more worth while purpose for using my contributions to the national treasure than helping the elderly to extend their lives. They should remain at the top of the food chain and be given the help and attention that their lives were spent earning and fully expecting to be
considered as far more than just an unfortunate expense.

I applaud every dollar that has been spent to find a vaccine for AIDS and to extend the lives of those who are stricken with this affliction. We care about helping everyone to live as long as God determines. But, I will never support the right of anyone to use one dollar, that I have paid to the government, to terminate the life of anyone as perfect and as harmless and someone with so much potential like any of the forty million unborn children forced to walk through fires of Abortion in America's Culture of Death; the same ones that President Barack Obama would have called a punishment, had they lived.

The President has assessed the people of America correctly. He had to do that a lot, just to win the Oval Office. He knows that such things as the taking control of the banking, insurance, automobile and medical industries without war in the streets was a success; there was silence throughout the land and Obama read it as our capitulation.

Everyone inside the Democratic Party knows that these measures are unconstitutional, but they are determined
not to let a little thing, like the complete disregard for the one document that holds us together as a nation, stand in their way. Why let the total abandonment of the law of the nation become such a major thing to complain about? Is that not Treason?

Is it too late to stop this evil cabal of left-wing thugs from enslaving us all to a government which has already drained America’s treasure? Read Daniel Greenfield’s article from the Canadian Free Press and you can decide for yourself if the nation can yet be saved. My prayer is that we will not all be buried in a national collective grave as
Obama’s White House is Falling Down.

In the sixth month of his presidency, Obama has turned an economic downturn into an economic disaster, taking over and trashing entire companies, and driving the nation deep into deficit spending expected to pass 10 trillion dollars.

Abroad, Obama seems to have no other mode except to continue on with his endless campaign, confusing speechmaking with diplomacy. It is natural enough that Obama, who built his entire campaign on high profile public speeches reported on by an adoring press, understands how to do nothing else but that.

"Ego driven photo op appearances and
clueless treatment of foreign dignitaries
"
Daniel Greenfield

While the press is still chewing over Obama's Cairo speech, this celebrity style coverage ignores the fact that Obama's endless world tour is not actually accomplishing anything. Instead his combination of ego driven photo op appearances and clueless treatment of foreign dignitaries have alienated many of America 's traditional allies. Those who aren't being quietly angry at Obama, like Brown, Merkel or Netanyahu, instead think of him as an absurdly lightweight, as Sarkozy, King Abdullah or Putin do.

While his officials carry out their dirty economic deeds,
Obama responds to any and every crisis as if it were a Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland musical, with a cry of, "Let's put on a show." Thus far Obama has put on "shows" across America , Europe and the Middle East . And what the adoring media coverage neglects to cover, is that Obama's shows have solved absolutely nothing. They have served only as high profile entertainment.

Neither alienating America's traditional allies, through a combination of arrogant bullying and ignorance, nor appeasing America's enemies, has yielded any actual results. Nor does it seem likely to. Islamic terrorism is not going anywhere, neither are the nuclear threats from North Korea and Iran . While Obama keeps smiling, the global situation keeps growing more grim.

At home, if Obama was elected as depression era entertainment, the charm of his smiles and his constant appearances on magazine covers
appear to be wearing thin on the American public. Despite the shrill attacks on Rush Limbaugh or the Republican Enemy of the Weak-- the Democratic party of 2009, is polling a lot like the Republican party of 2008.. The Democrats have suddenly become the incumbents, and the only accomplishment they can point to is lavish deficit spending, often on behalf of the very same corporations and causes they once postured against.

The European Union Parliament's swing to the right cannot be credited to Obama, though doubtlessly some European voters seeing socialist economic crisis management on display in the world's richest country decided they wanted none of it, but it is part of a general turning against federalism. And
Obama's entire program is dependent on heavily entrenching federalism
at the expense of individual and state's rights. Yet that is precisely his Achilles heel with independent voters who are polling against more taxes and expanded government. And no amount of speeches by Obama can wish away his 18 czars or the national debt he has foisted on generation after generation of the American people. (Now, there are 32 czars and counting.....)

That leaves Obama with a choice
between socialism and the independent
voter. And thus far he has chosen socialism.

Obama's tactic of hijacking Bush Administration era policies on the economy and the War on Terror, and exploiting them as Trojan horses to promote his own agenda, have left him coping with a backlash from his own party, as well as general Republican opposition.

His Czars are meant to function as the bones in an executive infrastructure accountable to no one, but a lack of accountability isn't just another word for tyranny, but for incompetence. A functional chain of command is accountable at multiple lev
els if it is to function effectively. Obama's White House by contrast is in a state of over-organized chaos, the sort of organized disorganization that undisciplined egotistical leftists naturally create for themselves, complete with multiple overlapping levels of authority and no one in charge but the man at the top, who's too busy doing other things to actually be in charge.

Dennis Blair as National Intelligence, who collaborated with the Muslim genocide of Christians in East Timor , trying to muscle out the CIA to create his own intelligence network, is typical of the kind of chaos being spawned by every chief in an expanding government bureaucracy working to make sure that all the Indians answer to him. (Has anyone checked to see if the troubles between the CIA and Nancy Pelosi - and now - other Democrat Representatives in the House have any relationship to this?)Similarly the National Security Council wrestling with the State Department, highlighted by Samantha Power getting her own specially created NSC position to butt heads with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, illustrates the state of conflict and chaos in American foreign affairs. A state of chaos so pervasive that incompetence has now become commonplace, and no one can even be found to double check the spelling of a Russian word that is meant to be the theme of American's diplomatic reconstruction with Russia , or to pick out a gift for the visiting British Prime Minister.

"The death of Chrysler at the
hands of Fiat and the UAW"

Meanwhile on the economy, Obama exploited the ongoing bailouts, transforming them from bailouts into takeovers meant to shift the balance of power in what had been a democracy and socially engineer not only corporations, but the lives of ordinary Americans. But the public's patience with corporate bailouts is at an end, most Americans were never happy with them to begin with, and want them to end.

The death of Chrysler at the hands of Fiat and the UAW might look like a victory in the union ranks, but it doesn't play too well o
utside Detroit . And tacking on CAFE standards that will kill the pickup truck and the SUV will badly erode Obama in the swing states, if exploited properly in 2010 and 2012. Despite the constant media barrage, orchestrated out of the White House, the public is growing disenchanted with the performance of Obama and the Democrats.

With unemployment booming and the economy dropping, the jobs aren't there and the spending is out of control. Republicans today are polling better on ethics and the economy, than the Democrats are. That shows a trend which is likely to register in the mid-term elections in 2010, in the same way that the EU parliamentary elections served as a shock to the system.

In the opposition, Republicans are free to embrace the rhetoric of change, to champion reform and push libertarian ideas about the size and scope of government. In turn all Obama has is his celebrity fueled media spectacle world tour. A charade now serving as a parallel to the depression era entertainment that functioned as escapism in a dour time. But before long, it may be Obama that the American public will want to escape from.

A shallow, manipulative and egotistical
amateur who is in over his head

Obama has tried to play Lincoln, Reagan, JFK and FDR-- but in the end he can only play himself, a shallow, manipulative and egotistical amateur who is in over his head, and trying to drag the country down with him. Obama's White House is falling down and while the flashbulbs are still glittering and the parties are going on in D.C. and around the world, Obama and the Democratic Congress may be headed for a recession of their own.

Move Over Da Vinci Code - Take A Look At 'Cabal of The Westford Knight: Templars at the Newport Tower'

Nothing paints a mysterious and suspenseful story better than one based on a profound and ancient conspiracy. It is evident that David S. Brody knew this full well when he penned his excellently written and powerfully depicted novel of intrigue, suspicion and adventure titled, Cabal of The Westford Knight: Templars at the Newport Tower. In this fast-paced and thorough treatise on ancient religious rituals and beliefs, Brody has woven together the ancient past and the curious present to create very compelling and believable tale of discovery and revelation.

____________________________________________

David S. Brody is a Boston Globe bestselling fiction writer. He serves as a Director of the New England Antiquities Research Association (NEARA) and is an expert on the subject of pre-Columbian exploration of America. A graduate of Tufts University and Georgetown Law School, he resides in Westford, Massachusetts with his wife, novelist Kimberly Scott, and their two daughters. In his spare time he coaches youth sports and Special Olympics, skis, and plays on adult ice hockey and softball teams.

____________________________________________

Mr. Cameron Thorne is a lawyer going about his business. Representing an elderly man and woman who are trying to keep from losing their home, Thorne runs headlong into a mystery that has been hidden from the outside world for centuries. This is not just some family secret. In fact, Cameron Thorne has uncovered a conspiracy that could actually cost him his life. Long suppressed by the Catholic Church, this conspiracy is one that the Church must make sure remains unknown.

As a result of this tumultuous unearthing of ancient actions and deeds, Thorne has no choice but to strike and run, as his pursuers, religious fanatics from two radical groups, seek to hunt him down and silence him. Fortunately, Thorne does not have to fight this battle of wits and intrigue alone. He has the good fortune to meet one British researcher of ancient artifacts, named Amanda. She too is on the run, tracked by the same groups who are seeking to stop Cameron Thorne. Together, they form a bond and a single-purposed plan to tie the fragments of this deadly mystery together, which they gather from many places across the Northeastern part of the United States. These two realize that their enemies have no choice but to stop the two intruders from unearthing their historical secrets. For, if they, Thorne and Amanda, are finally able to repaint the entire picture, the truths they will have revealed risk shredding the church into pieces.

There is an obvious and appropriate comparison between Davis S. Brody’s excellent work and The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. Though the strength of Dan Brown’s work cannot be minimized, I feel that Brody’s work is better researched, more believable and that Brody’s style and plot possesses more elements that will entice the reader to want to dig into this book until the very last page. I felt as if I was there with these two very intelligent hunters of ancient lore.

The massive amount of research that had to go into this first-class novel must have been staggering. Coming from David S. Brody, great research and explanations one can wrap their hands around is what he does best. His others books, such as The Wrong Abraham, Blood of the Tribe, Unlawful Deeds and America’s History are excellent examples of Brody’s ability to take readers into another time and place and to make it come alive in our time, today. He has simply carried this tradition of excellence in writing over into this new novel, Cabal of The Westford Knight: Templars at the Newport Tower. If you love intrigue, conspiracy and history all woven together into an action-packed suspense drama with deadly repercussions, then you will love this story.

Move over Da Vinci Code. There is a new novel, now in print, that bears all the makings of a phenomenal literary success. I highly recommend Cabal of The Westford Knight: Templars at the Newport Tower by David S. Brody. It’s a read that will keep you reading until the very end.

David S. Brody In His Own Words
Cabal of the Westford Knight: Templars at the Newport Tower is a novel inspired by the legend of the Westford Knight. The legend recounts how Scottish explorers secretly visited Westford, Massachusetts in 1398, where they carved an effigy in stone to commemorate the death of a fallen comrade, a carving that remains visible today. But who were these explorers, and why did they come? Well, that's where the fun begins!

As I began researching this book--visiting ancient sites and inspecting ancient artifacts around New England--I was amazed at the sheer volume and weight of evidence supporting the legend of 14th-century European exploration in North America. Even more amazing was the evidence I discovered when researching the European side of this story: This expedition was led by Prince Henry Sinclair of the famous Sinclair clan--builders of Scotland's Roslyn Chapel and the family made famous as being named heirs to the Jesus bloodline in Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code. When I learned that the lost treasures of the Knights Templar had been entrusted with the Sinclair clan in the early 1300s, I knew I had the makings of a compelling suspense novel. But when I studied the stone carvings of Roslyn Chapel and delved into the history of the Knights Templar, I knew I had stumbled into the kind of dusty corner of history where the seeds of fascinating historical fiction are found: It was entirely possible that Prince Henry Sinclair and his group of medieval explorers had come to America not just to explore, but were here to establish a new society that rejected the teachings of the Church and instead focused on ancient pagan beliefs--beliefs that, ironically, mirror many of the values upon with our country was later founded.

A long way from a rock carving in Westford, you say? I agree. But here I am, and I feel pretty confident that I have the story right. This much, at least, is clear: Somebody was here, and they came for a reason.

My research has taken me on a wild ride. I hope you enjoy reading Cabal of the Westford Knight as much as I did writing it. -

What Are Others Saying?

BRODY HAS OUT BROWNED BROWN
WITH THIS ONE. A DELIGHTFUL READ!
March 1, 2009

By D. Blankenship (The Ozarks)

It is tempting to compare this work to that of Brown's Da Vinci Code. To be quite frank though, David S. Brody has out Browned Brown with this one. Now that being said, I will be the first to admit that I am not a Brown fan and absolutely despised the Da Vinci Code. This book however, was an absolute delight and once started, was difficult to put down.

It is rather difficult to give a plot summation here as each and every chapter adds new twists and turns to this story, and it is almost impossible to discuss the plot without adding spoiler after spoiler. Briefly though, the story actually begins in 1399 with Henry Sinclair lands in the New World with a group of men comprised of warriors, craftsmen and men of the cloth. After established the landing, and after the death of James Gunn, Sinclair's second in command and his burial, the story jumps to the present time. A young lawyer and a young English girl become embroiled in a sinister plot by various secret organizations to try to foil the efforts of any who may uncover the secret carried to North America by Sinclair and his group of Scottish warriors. The body of the story takes place in New England as the author has his characters flitting here and there trying to unwind this complex mystery. The Church, Knight Templers, right wing South American Organizations and more are all included. The core, The Knight Templers has always been a fascination of mine.

This work is a mixture of historical fact, historical speculation and extreme skillful story telling on the part of the author. It is truly what I would call a "page turner." I will right now admit to being one of those individual who firmly believe that Columbus was a Johnny-come-lately to the New World and was quite likely preceded by the Norse, Japanese, Chinese, Phoenicians, and a rather large number of other cultures, some who have completely disappeared in the fog of history. I am quite familiar with the archeological sites mentioned in this particular work and have followed their progress for a number of years, along with other threads historians and archeologists have been following over the past several decades. It took only a small leap of my imagination to find validity in much of what the author has written. Now that does not mean I believe the fictional part of the story...hey, a good story is a good story, but I do feel that the author has used enough archeological evidence to make his fictional tale quiet believable

One of the techniques and ploys the writer has used in this work is photographs of each and every site and artifact (with the exception of two, which he admits to having made up), and wonderful maps. This adds an aspect of realism to the story not normally found in novels of this ilk. I read very little historical fiction, but when I do read it, I want it well researched and I want it based, even loosely, on documented facts. The author has more than adequately done this with this work.

Above all though, as to reading pleasure goes, David Brody is an absolute natural story teller and has been blessed with the skill to articulate his stories in the written word. This is becoming a rather rare phenomenon of late and it should be appreciated by anyone who enjoys a good, action pack and believable story. The author has given us a good mystery, plenty of action, believable characters, both likable and unlikeable, a bit of romance and as a plus, a very good lesson in history. The author has also been kind enough to give us some great resource notes for further reading and research of this fascinating subject.

I do have to recommend this one highly as I enjoyed each and every page. Bottom line: This is one fine read!
